theglobalsun – Shrewsbury Town have signed Aston Villa goalkeeper Sam Proctor on a season-long loan. The 19-year-old becomes the club’s eighth signing of the summer transfer window. He arrives after developing through Aston Villa’s academy system.
Proctor has already collected major honours during his youth career. He helped Villa win the FA Youth Cup and the Under-18 Premier League title. The loan now gives him an opportunity to gain experience in senior football.
