theglobalsun – Tottenham Hotspur Women have officially completed the signing of Netherlands international midfielder Victoria Pelova following her departure from Women’s Super League rivals Arsenal.
The 27-year-old joins Spurs on a free transfer after spending three seasons with the Gunners. Bringing valuable experience at both domestic and European level to the North London club.
Pelova becomes one of Tottenham’s key additions ahead of the new campaign as the club continues strengthening its squad for the upcoming Women’s Super League season.
The Dutch midfielder leaves Arsenal after a successful spell in which she helped the club win several major honours.
Pelova Ends Successful Three-Year Spell at Arsenal
During her time with Arsenal, Pelova established herself as an important member of the first-team squad.
She played a role in Arsenal’s UEFA Women’s Champions League triumph in 2025. Gelping the club secure Europe’s biggest club trophy.
In addition to the Champions League title. Pelova also lifted two Women’s League Cups and the Women’s Champions Cup during her stay with the Gunners.
Her final season at Arsenal was particularly impressive given the circumstances.
After recovering from a serious anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury suffered the previous year. Pelova returned strongly to make 30 appearances across all competitions.
Her successful comeback highlighted both her resilience and determination. Allowing her to finish her Arsenal career as a regular contributor before making the switch to Tottenham.
Dutch International Excited for New Challenge
Pelova also brings significant international experience to Spurs. The midfielder has earned 71 caps for the Netherlands and has represented her country at each of the last four major international tournaments.
Her experience on the biggest stages is expected to strengthen Tottenham’s midfield as the club looks to compete higher up the Women’s Super League table.
Speaking after completing the move, Pelova said she immediately felt Tottenham was the right destination following discussions with manager Martin Ho.
“It feels nice to be here, I had a lovely welcome from everyone. When I had conversations with Martin Ho, he was so good. It felt immediately right to go to Spurs,” Pelova said. She added: “I can’t wait for the season, and I’m so happy to be here.”
With experience in the Women’s Super League, European competition, and international football. Pelova arrives at Tottenham as an accomplished midfielder capable of contributing both creatively and defensively.
Her winning mentality and proven quality are expected to provide Spurs with an important boost as they prepare for the new season.
