The 27-year-old spent the 2025-26 season on loan with the Italian club and impressed sufficiently to earn a permanent move. Sassuolo have not disclosed the transfer fee involved in the deal.

Muric enjoyed a productive campaign in Italy, making 32 appearances across all competitions. He also recorded six clean sheets as Sassuolo secured an 11th-place finish in Serie A.
