Young began his football career in the academy system at Aston Villa. His development earned him a senior appearance for the Premier League club in the FA Cup during 2021 before he moved on in search of regular first-team football.

His performances attracted international interest and eventually led to a move to Saudi Arabian side Al-Orabah. The transfer provided an opportunity to continue his career abroad and gain experience in a different footballing environment.

After his spell in Saudi Arabia, Young moved to the United Arab Emirates, where he played for Baniyas. The striker continued his journey overseas before deciding to return to Welsh football earlier this year.

The signing provides the Saints with a familiar attacking option who already understands the club’s expectations. Playing style, and competitive environment.
